Green Onions was originally recorded as the B-side to what was intended as their debut single, "Behave Yourself," but ended up reaching #1 in the R&B charts and becoming Booker T. & The MG's most famous tune. This album was quickly assembled around those two songs to capitalize on the success of the million-selling single. Along with a follow-up jam, "Mo' Onions," they recorded nine covers of previous hits by Ray Charles, the Isley Brothers, Jackie Wilson, and Acker Bilt. I'd recommend this album and plan on investing in the wonderful "Time Is Tight" box set, which contains the best tracks off this disc, the three originals.

#1's is the eighth album by American pop/R&B singer Mariah Carey, released by Columbia Records on November 16, 1998. Carey's first compilation album, it comprises her first thirteen number-one singles on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart and several new tracks. It was certified five-times platinum in the U.S. after debuting within the top five on the Billboard 200, and it charted strongly elsewhere.
Carey has said that she does not consider #1's a greatest hits album, and has voiced her disappointment with the omission of what she calls her "favorite songs". Reviews were mixed, with criticism directed towards both the new material and the decision to include only Carey's number-one hits. The singles released from the album ? "Sweetheart" with Jermaine Dupri, the award-winning Whitney Houston duet "When You Believe" from the soundtrack to The Prince of Egypt, and "I Still Believe" ? sold well across the world, but they were only moderately popular on U.S. radio.

FLAC (Free Lossless Audio Codec) is superior over MP3 in preserving audio quality of the source (audio CD). However, FLAC file sizes are also bigger than MP3 (roughly 10x MP3 file sizes). FLAC files can be played with Winamp (or other player that support FLAC).
